Lisa Von H has an ability to write in a wide range of musical styles and enjoys exploring different genres.

Although she mostly works alone, Lisa also enjoys writing with and singing for a wide range of collaborators both locally and online which has led to her music being played in many different countries.

She began writing and performing at the age of 13 and did several years in pubs and clubs, playing at many of London’s renowned venues under the ‘Mean Fiddler’ umbrella (the Mean Fiddler, the Garage, the Orange, the Islington, the Phoenix festival etc) until she was picked up by Toyah’s producer. This led to a number of support gigs both for Toyah, and Fish from Marillion amongst others.

She was then picked up by Dorado records who managed her and gave her a publishing deal. After a few close brushes with Virgin records and EMI, Lisa stepped away from performing for a while to start a family, and since her return has written and performed for many diverse projects

She was hired by a theatre company to write the music for a play for a government led drive on sex education. The play is still being used as part of the PSHCE education in schools around Surrey and London.
 
She also performed 9 songs live (7 self penned and 2 covers) for a play written by Rosalind Blessed which had a run in Camden, and was also performed at Guilfest. 

As well as performing in Surrey, Hampshire, and London, Lisa is also a music therapist and teaches guitar, singing, and songwriting to both special needs teenagers and adults alike.
 
She was also recently hired by Surrey Young Carers to produce a songwriting workshop to help a group of young adults express themselves through music.

Lisa is a part of the Phoenix Cultural Centre/ Fiery Bird venue in Woking, and has done many radio promotions and performances for them, one of which was for the WWF promoting ‘Earth Hour’. She has been part of a group of local musicians fighting for a local live music venue which they finally succeeded in securing this year.
