Singer/songwriter Josh Savage has blazed a bright trail through the music industry, which should serve as a beacon to any musician looking to make a name for themselves in the unrecognisable 21st Century Music Industry landscape. "The most promising new young artist to emerge in Winchester in years" has built a loyal fanbase one living room at a time (he holds the record for the amount of Sofar Sounds gigs worldwide).
Josh grew up learning piano, trumpet and guitar at home and went on to complete his Music Degree at University of York. His heroes include Amber Run, Coldplay, Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Bombay Bicycle Club, Daughter, Foals and RY X. There is a film about Josh Savage. In 2015, Josh played 79 shows in 5 months with Sofar Sounds and in people's homes across America and Europe (including the famous SXSW festival). ‘The Living Room Tour’ documentary is shown above. Josh Savage’s self-releases have been played on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing and BBC 6 music and accumulated over 4 million plays on Spotify without PR representation.
